The direct answer
- Boost is optional. It is not simply "Booksy costs this percentage".
- It is separate from the normal subscription.
- The percentage applies to the relevant Boost first visit, not to every booking.
- The checked catalogue records 30% of the relevant first visit, with a minimum of £5.00.
- Subscription: £40.00, ex VAT.
- £5.00 for each additional team member after the first.
The percentage on a Boost visit is not the price of Booksy. The subscription is a separate line, and Boost stays out of that line unless a business chooses it.
Normal Booksy cost and Boost
| Component | Checked row |
|---|---|
| Subscription | £40.00, ex VAT |
| Additional team member | £5.00 for each additional team member after the first. |
| Boost | The checked catalogue records 30% of the relevant first visit, with a minimum of £5.00. |
| Card payments | 1.29% + £0.20 fixed. Mobile payments, plus VAT. Tap to Pay is listed separately at 0.99% + 20p plus VAT. |
These are separate components. Boost is not folded into the subscription. Checked 6 October 2026.
A worked example
These two visits are examples, not a price Booksy published. The fee is the checked percentage, and it cannot fall below the checked minimum.
A first visit of £45.00 is £13.50 at 30%. That is above the minimum of £5.00, so the Boost fee in this example is £13.50.
A first visit of £10.00 is £3.00 at 30%. That is below the minimum of £5.00, so the Boost fee in this example is £5.00.
Why the distinction matters
The subscription is £40.00, ex VAT.
£5.00 for each additional team member after the first.
The checked catalogue records 30% of the relevant first visit, with a minimum of £5.00.
A comparison that adds the Boost percentage onto the monthly subscription is describing a business that opted in, not the price of the software on its own.
