Slick is the product Youzse gets compared with most often, and for good reason. Both are built in the UK, both handle booking, payments and the day to day running of a service business, and neither is a marketplace that rents your existing clients back to you. So this page does the boring thing and works the numbers instead of the adjectives. One conclusion is worth putting at the top rather than burying at the bottom: on card processing Slick is cheaper than Youzse on every published line. If card takings are the bulk of your revenue, start your sums there.

Slick figures taken from getslick.com on 7 August 2026 and calculated from their published rates of £20 plus £12 per additional column on Essential and £35 plus £18 per additional column on Advanced. Their pricing page states that prices are exclusive of VAT which is applied at the standard rates, so add 20% before comparing with the Youzse column.
Where the column model starts to bite
Slick prices by column, which is the slot on the diary rather than the salon. That keeps the entry price genuinely low for one chair, and it is easy to understand, which is more than can be said for a lot of software pricing. The trade off is that growth carries a price. A fourth chair, a Saturday junior or a room you rent to a self employed therapist all arrive on the invoice.
The steps are steady until they are not. On Advanced, six columns lands at £125 a month before VAT and ten columns at £197 before VAT, at which point Supercharged at £219 a month for unlimited columns starts to look sensible. That is a large jump for a shop that has just taken on its tenth pair of hands, and it is the moment most people go looking for alternatives.
None of this is a flaw. It is a pricing philosophy, and it suits a shop with a stable diary and a fixed number of chairs. It just means there is no single answer to which product is cheaper. There is only an answer for the shape of your team this month and the shape you expect next year.

Slick is cheaper than Youzse on every line in this table. The Youzse rate carries our platform fee inside the single number, which is exactly why the headline figure is higher.
Genuine reasons to choose Slick

Where Youzse is the better fit
Youzse charges for the business rather than the diary. One subscription from £19 a month covers the team however many chairs you fill. For a growing shop that removes the small tax on hiring.
The second difference is everything sitting around the calendar. Youzse covers booking, deposits, payments, quotes, invoices, CRM, marketing, loyalty, gift cards, memberships, forms and UK VAT returns, and it runs across more than 60 trades rather than hair and beauty alone. If you have a salon plus a mobile arm, or a studio that also sells courses, or a mixed operation that a salon tool was never designed for, that breadth decides it faster than any price table.
The third is where new clients come from. Youzse lists you where people are searching, and there is 0% commission on new clients who find you through Youzse and book. Slick is not a marketplace, so it makes no claim here at all. This is a difference in what the two products are, not a scoring point against them.
Set against that, our card rate is higher and there is no polite way to dress it up. If most of your revenue arrives as a card tap in the chair, Slick's 1.29% will beat 2.5% plus 35p once volume builds. The honest method is simple. Take your monthly card takings, work out the difference in processing, add 20% VAT to whichever Slick plan matches your column count, then compare the two totals. If Slick wins on your numbers, use Slick.
