Weekly cleans, collected weekly
Domestic cleaning is small, regular and relentless to invoice by hand. Set the recurring payment once and it collects itself, so you are cleaning rather than reconciling forty bank transfers on a Sunday night.
Recurring billing handled for you.
One card rate of 2.5% plus 35p, with the platform fee inside it.
Set up in 2 minutes. No credit card required.

The same houses, the same days
A domestic round is only profitable when it is dense and stable. Standing appointments, key and alarm notes and per-property preferences keep the round predictable and make cover straightforward when someone is off.
Unlimited customers and properties.
Unlimited customer records on every plan, yours to export at any time.
Set up in 2 minutes. No credit card required.

Running a domestic cleaners business
A domestic round is built on being let into somebody's home while they are at work. That trust takes months to earn and it attaches to a person rather than to a company, which is the central difficulty in growing one of these businesses.
Three ways a domestic round gets put together
| Shape | What you are selling | Where it breaks |
|---|---|---|
| One cleaner with her own customers | Her hours, and there are only so many | It stops the week she is ill and nobody covers |
| A small team on a shared round | Consistency, cover and someone to ring | The customer who only wants the cleaner she likes |
| Introductions, with the cleaner paid direct | A match and an ongoing arrangement | You never see the work and hear about problems late |
The first is the easiest to start and the hardest to ever sell, because almost nothing in it exists outside one person's head.
What actually ends a regular clean
- A key handed back in a hurry, so covering the visit means somebody standing on a doorstep
- A fortnight of holiday nobody rearranged, and a customer discovering the house survives without you
- A price that has not moved in three years and then moves by a fifth all at once
- A new baby, a new puppy or a move across town that gets mentioned after the fact
- One breakage handled defensively rather than honestly
- A cleaner leaving and taking four houses with her, because the customers only ever knew her name
Collect on the day the work happens
Forty weekly cleans is forty small collections a week, and doing that by hand is an evening every Sunday for as long as the business exists. Set the payment to run against the visit and the job stops being a job.
It quietly settles the cancellation question too. When money moves on the morning of the clean, a customer who cancels at eight is having a conversation about the notice period rather than about an invoice that simply never arrived.
Small annual increases are far easier to hold than one large apology every three years. A round that has never had a price rise is not a loyal round, it is one that will lose a third of itself the first time you need one.
The property record is what makes cover possible
The alarm code, which key opens the side door, the dog that must not go out of the back gate, the ironing that is included and the room that is never touched. In most of these businesses all of that lives in one cleaner's memory.
Written against the property, a second cleaner can walk in cold and do the job properly. Left in somebody's head, one bout of flu takes out a day of income and usually two customers with it.
It is also the only honest answer when something goes missing. Knowing who was in that house, on what date and for how long is the difference between an uncomfortable week and a round that never recovers.
What holds a domestic round together
- Payment that runs on the day of the clean without anybody chasing it
- A notice period agreed at the start and applied every time, including for the customers you like
- Key and alarm details recorded against the property rather than on a keyring in a van
- A named cleaner per house and a named cover cleaner behind her
- A written note of what the visit includes, so ironing and ovens are priced rather than absorbed
- Streets grown outward from where somebody is already parked
- Small annual price movements instead of one large correction
