Protect the two hours a full set takes
A full set is two hours of your day and a tray of product. A no show is not a gap, it is your whole morning. Take a deposit that reflects that, and charge infills at the rate the fill actually needs.
No commission on new clients.
One card rate of 2.5% plus 35p, with the platform fee inside it.
Set up in 2 minutes. No credit card required.

Two to three weeks, every time
Lashes have the most predictable return cycle in beauty, which makes an unfilled diary a scheduling failure rather than a demand problem. Book the infill at the appointment and let reminders catch the ones who did not.
Unlimited clients on every plan.
Unlimited customer records on every plan, yours to export at any time.
Set up in 2 minutes. No credit card required.

Running a lash technicians business
A lash technician works on one client at a time, lying down, for two hours. There is no double booking, no processing time and nobody else to hold the bed, which makes lashing the least forgiving diary in beauty.
The lash cycle and what each appointment is worth
| Appointment | Time at the bed | Where the profit actually is |
|---|---|---|
| A classic full set | Around two hours | The lowest return per hour you offer, yet the one everybody advertises |
| A volume set | Two and a half hours or more | Better, if the price reflects the skill rather than the tray |
| Infills at two weeks | Forty five minutes to an hour | The appointment the entire business rests on |
| Infills at four weeks | Most of a full set | Charged as an infill by technicians who then wonder where the day went |
Full sets are the cost of acquiring a client. Infills are the business, which is why retention matters more than how many new sets you take this month.
Retention is a technical number before it is a commercial one
How long a set lasts comes down to isolation, adhesive, the humidity in the room and what the client does to her face in the shower. It is the number deciding whether she returns at two weeks or gives up at four and goes back to strip lashes.
Record the map, the curl, the length, the diameter and the adhesive against her, then record what her retention was actually like. A client losing lashes on one side every time is telling you how she sleeps, and the next set should be built differently because of it.
Aftercare that sends automatically is not a courtesy. An oil based cleanser and a facial steamer will take a set down inside ten days, and the technician is blamed for both of them.
Two hours is far too long to leave unprotected
A full set that does not arrive is your entire morning, and it is the one appointment nobody can fill at two hours notice. Deposits on full sets are simply how this trade works, and almost no client objects once it is presented as normal rather than as suspicion.
Apply the cancellation policy identically to everybody. A technician who waives it for a friend of a friend has no policy at all by the end of the year, and she can name the exact client who made that true.
Make rescheduling self service. A client who wakes with a swollen eye at six in the morning will move the appointment herself if she can, and will simply not turn up if she cannot.
What a well run lash business does
- Takes a deposit on every full set without exception
- Books the infill at the bed before she stands up
- Prices infills by how long she left it rather than by the name
- Times the prompt to her set and to the retention she actually gets
- Records curl, length, diameter, adhesive and the exact map used
- Sends aftercare automatically after every set and every infill
- Lets clients reschedule themselves at any hour
The patch test is the record most likely to be asked for
Cyanoacrylate adhesive causes real allergic reactions and they arrive without warning, often in a client who has been fine for two years. A patch test with a date, the product and a recorded result is what an insurer expects to see and what most technicians cannot produce.
Record it against the client rather than in a book behind the desk, and record it again whenever you change adhesive. A test on a product you no longer use is not a test, it is a piece of paper.
