Class passes and drop-ins together
A yoga timetable runs on class passes, memberships and the occasional drop-in, and reconciling three payment types by hand is where the evening goes. Sell all three from one booking page and let the credits look after themselves.
Credits and memberships reconciled for you.
One card rate of 2.5% plus 35p, with the platform fee inside it.
Set up in 2 minutes. No credit card required.

A full mat count, not a full timetable
An empty space in a class is revenue you cannot resell once the class starts. Waitlists fill late drop-outs automatically, and QR check-in tells you who actually came rather than who booked.
Unlimited students on every plan.
Unlimited customer records on every plan, yours to export at any time.

Running a yoga instructors business
Most yoga teachers do not own the room they teach in. They hire a hall by the hour or take a flat fee on somebody else's timetable, and that one fact decides far more about the money than the style on the poster does.
The numbers to know before a hall is booked
- What the hour costs, including the fifteen minutes either side you will genuinely need
- Whether the fee is still owed if the class does not run
- How many people the room takes with mats spaced properly, which is fewer than the hall claims
- What you charge on the door, and what a pass reduces that to per head
- The headcount at which the evening breaks even, worked out once and written down
- What a cover teacher costs, because a class that closes when you have flu loses students for good
Break even is a headcount, and it sits higher than it feels
A hall at twenty five pounds an hour with a class priced at nine pounds a head needs three people through the door before you have earned a penny. Everything after the third person is yours and everything before it belongs to the landlord.
This is why a class run on door money alone is so uncomfortable. A wet Tuesday in November brings five people, which is an evening that paid the hall and not you. Passes and memberships move that money to the front, so the room is covered whether or not the weather cooperates.
It also settles the timetable question. Two full classes are worth more than four half empty ones, and half empty classes are how teachers end up working six evenings a week for the income of three.
Where a yoga teacher's income quietly goes
- Passes sold with no expiry and redeemed two years later against a hall you are paying for now
- Door money kept in a tin and reconciled at no point whatsoever
- A corporate class invoiced on thirty day terms and paid on sixty
- Studios booking you as cover and settling at the end of the following month
- Free spaces for friends in a class other people were waiting for
- A retreat deposit spent before the villa and the flights were paid for
The income streams and how each one behaves
| What you sell | When the money arrives | What it is really for |
|---|---|---|
| A place on the door | On the night, if they turn up | New faces, and nothing you can plan a month around |
| A block of passes | Up front, used across several weeks | Covering the hall before the term has started |
| A monthly membership | The same date every month | The only genuinely predictable income in the trade |
| A workshop or short course | Weeks ahead, at a far higher price per head | Margin, because the hall costs exactly the same |
| A retreat | Deposits and balances spread over months | A year of profit and a year of risk inside one week |
A teacher whose income is mostly door money has a well attended hobby. A teacher whose income is mostly memberships and courses has a business with a floor under it.
The workshop is where the hour finally pays properly
A three hour Saturday workshop at forty pounds a head fills the same room the Tuesday class fills and earns several evenings of income in one afternoon. The hall does not charge more because the subject happens to be interesting.
Sell it to the students you already have. A list of everybody who has taken a class this year, with what they took and when they last came, is worth more to a yoga teacher than any advertising and costs nothing at all to keep.
