Under UK data protection law, your business is the data controller for your customers' information, and Youzse is your processor. It sounds formal, but the idea is simple.
What it means
You decide what customer data you hold and why. We look after it for you and do only what you ask with it. The relationship is set out in the Data Processing Agreement you accept when you sign up.
What stays with you
- Having a reason to hold each customer's data, usually because they have booked with you
- Telling customers how their data is used, through your privacy notice
- Keeping data accurate and only for as long as you need it
- Handling requests from customers about their own data
What Youzse handles for you
- Storing and securing the data
- Keeping audit trails of what happens to it
- Giving you the tools to answer data requests and to delete data properly
Your privacy notice
Before your public page goes live, you set up your own privacy notice. Your booking page asks customers to confirm they have read it, which keeps everything transparent.
Common questions

Do I need to register with the ICO?
Most businesses handling personal data do. Check the ICO self-assessment, which takes a few minutes.
