Why we do not publish rivals' garage prices
The established UK workshop systems quote on request rather than publishing a price list. We are not going to print a number for a competitor that we cannot point at on their own website, so this page compares on capability and tells you what to ask when you get a quote.
When you do get quotes, ask for the total: licence, per-user cost, setup and data migration, DVLA lookup charges, SMS or reminder bundles, support and the length of the contract. Workshop software is where multi-year tie-ins are still common.
What to check before you sign anything
- Does a registration plate pull the vehicle details automatically?
- Does it show MOT history and the next due date?
- Will it send MOT and service reminders without you remembering?
- Can a customer approve a quote from their phone, with photos?
- Does the job card track from booked in to collected?
- Can you raise purchase orders and track parts against a job?
- Can you take payment before the keys are handed back?
- Are VAT returns MTD ready?
- What is the contract length, and what does exit look like?
- Is vehicle and customer data exportable?

The single highest-return feature in garage software is an automatic MOT reminder. A garage with 800 vehicles on its books that recovers even a tenth of the MOTs it currently loses to whoever texts first is a few thousand pounds a year better off.
That only works if the due dates are accurate and the reminders fire without anyone remembering to send them. Check both when you demo any system.
