What you are really comparing
TechMan is known for workshop management, prompts, reminders, ordering, invoicing, reporting and Autodata, HaynesPro and parts supplier integrations. That last part is the one that matters, because it is the part Youzse Garage Pro does not do.
If your technicians pull repair times, wiring diagrams and service schedules out of the system while the car is on the ramp, you are not choosing between two garage management systems. You are choosing between a system with technical data wired into it and one without.
We are not going to argue you out of that. A workshop that lives in Autodata all day should buy the thing that has Autodata in it.
The part worth pressing on
Technical data is almost always licensed separately from the software that displays it. Autodata and HaynesPro are their own subscriptions, and an integration means the system can talk to them, not that the data comes free.
So when you get a TechMan quote, the number that matters is the total: the workshop system, the technical data licence, per user costs, VRM lookups, SMS and setup. Compare that total against anything else, not the software line on its own.
This is the single most common way garage software comparisons go wrong. Two quotes look close, one includes the data licence and one does not, and the gap turns up on the second invoice.

Technical data licences are usually charged separately from the software. Ask for the total including the data subscription before comparing this against any other quote.
Questions for the TechMan demo
- Is the Autodata or HaynesPro licence included in the quoted price, or billed separately?
- How many technicians can pull technical data at once, and what does an extra seat cost?
- Which parts suppliers are integrated, and are those the factors you actually use?
- What is the total first year cost including setup, migration and training?
- What is the contract length and the notice period?
- Can you export customers, vehicles, job history and MOT due dates if you leave?
When Youzse Garage Pro is the better answer
If your technicians already have their technical data somewhere else, or the work is servicing, MOTs, tyres and brakes rather than diagnostics, then you are paying for an integration you will not open.
At that point the questions become how bookings arrive, whether MOT reminders go out on their own, how fast a quote gets approved and whether the invoice is paid before the keys are handed back. That is what Garage Pro is built around, at a published £59 a month with a 30 day trial and no card.
How we worked this out
Every figure quoted for another garage system was read from that company's own public pages on the date shown at the bottom of this page. Most UK workshop systems quote on request rather than publishing a price, and where that is the case we have said so rather than printing an estimate.
Garage quotes usually move once users, sites, data licences, SMS bundles, setup and training are added. Ask for the full monthly and setup cost in writing, and ask what happens at the end of the contract, before you compare anything against anything.
