Class packages and chair rentals

Class packages sell a block of sessions up front, and chair rentals hold the agreements for people who rent space from you.

Two settings that often get missed. Class packages sell a block of sessions up front. Chair rentals hold agreements with people who rent space from you.

Class packages

Set them up under Settings, then Class Packages. A package is a number of sessions sold as one purchase, so a customer buys ten classes rather than paying each time. You get the money in advance and they get a better rate, which suits both of you.

Packages need classes, which are part of the group bookings feature. If Classes is not in your sidebar, that is why.

Chair rentals

Set them up under Settings, then Chair Rentals. This is for salons and barbershops where a stylist rents a chair rather than being employed. The agreement, the rate and the arrangement live in one place instead of a note on a phone.

Renters are not employees

Someone renting a chair usually runs their own books and their own clients. How much of your system they use is a decision to make deliberately, and the roles under Settings, then Roles, are what enforce it.

Common questions

Where do I find class packages?

Under Settings, then Class Packages. They need the group bookings feature, which is what puts Classes in your sidebar.

Does a package expire?

Set terms that suit you. An unused block of ten with no end date is a liability that sits open indefinitely.

Can a chair renter see my whole customer list?

Only if you let them. Give renters a role limited to what they need, which is usually their own diary and their own clients.
