Chasing a quote that has gone quiet

Resend the quote from the quote itself, which sends the customer a fresh email carrying the same link.

Open the quote and resend it. The customer gets a fresh email with the same link, which is usually all a quiet quote needs.

Check the status first

It tells you what kind of chase this is. A quote still showing sent rather than viewed has probably not been opened, so the problem is the email rather than the price. A quote showing viewed has been read and is being considered.

When it has not been viewed

  • Check the email address on the customer record
  • Resend it
  • Ring them and mention it is in their inbox, because a quote that lands in spam is invisible

When it has been viewed

Resending the same thing rarely helps. A short personal message asking whether they have any questions does more than a second copy of the same PDF.

Set an expiry you mean

A valid-until date gives you a natural reason to make contact and a natural reason for them to decide. Quotes without one drift indefinitely.

Common questions

Does resending create a second quote?

No. It is the same quote and the same link, sent again.

Can I chase automatically?

Quote chasing is a manual send. For broader follow-up, Campaigns under Marketing can reach a group of customers at once.

Should I delete quotes nobody answered?

No need. Let them expire. They stay in your records and can be duplicated if the customer comes back.
